Good idea to wait for the weather to be nicer before ordering our chicks :)Farming Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17938675746905624146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1885823206913763143.post-12518972307450498742011-03-07T12:52:41.975-08:002011-03-07T12:52:41.975-08:00That is a great coop and really roomy too. This year we went with 8 week olds but we did get a rooster and hope to hatch some of our eggs :)

Vicki
www.homesteadblogger.com/happyhavenAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1885823206913763143.post-39823535423050222132011-03-07T10:55:39.273-08:002011-03-07T10:55:39.273-08:00How fun, new chicks! We're actually not raising any this year, as we don't need any extras, but I honestly don't think spring will be the same without little peeps in the brooder. We ordered our last flock in late spring last year, and although our weather here is great most of the year, I was glad we waited. I read of a number of folks last spring who lost their chicks due to weather related airport delays en route. I'd be tempted to wait until after your vacation, just to minimize that risk. Can't wait to see your new arrivals though!Curbstone Valley Farmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06714297348566721344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1885823206913763143.post-84330952308065870212011-03-07T09:01:34.371-08:002011-03-07T09:01:34.371-08:00Great plans- and looks like the coop as tons of po...Great plans- and looks like the coop as tons of potential.
