Springtime hike

One day last weekend, or maybe the weekend before, I put Little M up on my back and we went out for a hike. We headed north, to maybe see some snakes and find a new den, but generally to just get out of the house and see the world around us.

As it turns out, we didn't see any snakes at all, but we did see a blue grouse, a bunch of mule deer, and lots of birds. We saw hills & distant snow covered peaks. Big & small trees, sagebrush, antelope/bitterbrush, and lots and lots of grass surrounded us. We hiked up, around, across, up again, and then down & back. No snakes, but plenty of fill-your-spirit-back-up nature. Just what we needed :)
